OPENWORK: ALL LONDON GREEN GRID COMPETITION

In response to a dearth of conventional planting opportunities, OPENWORK proposes a composite landscape prototype that integrates structure, planting medium and plant material. When aggregated together and deployed at multiple scales throughout the 12-acre defunct Royal Mail site, the resulting landscape promotes active social and recreational use and creates a continuous ecological habitat.
OPENWORK introduces a series of interconnected loops to link the existing greenways and parks of London offering pedestrians a continuous park experience while traversing the city.
